The difference

There are 2 types of badges. Status & Channel badges. Both used for completely different things, & they do not overlap in anyway

Status Badges

Are badges you see on some ones profile picture or at the end of their username. They are used so you can identify 3 types of users:

Channel Badges

Are badges you see on someones about page or when you press the badges button, they are awarded to you when you do something on StoryFire. Like, publish a popular story, or report a lot of bugs
